This policy explains what data ClearHome.ie collects, why, and the choices you have over it. ClearHome.ie is built to need as little of your data as possible — the calculators run entirely in your browser, and nothing you enter into a calculator (home price, rent, dates, etc.) is sent to or stored on our servers.

Information we collect

We don't require accounts, logins, or any personal information to use the calculators or read the guides. The only data collected is:

• Analytics data (via Google Analytics), but only after you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner. This includes anonymised information like which pages you visit, how you got here, and general device/browser type — not your name or anything you typed into a calculator.
• Advertising data (via Google AdSense), but only after you accept advertising cookies. Google may use this to show relevant ads and measure ad performance, governed by Google's own privacy policy.

Until you actively accept a cookie category in the consent banner, the corresponding script (Analytics or AdSense) doesn't load at all — the default state is opted out, not opted in.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them only for the consent choice itself (remembering what you accepted), and — only if you accept them — for analytics and advertising as described above. We don't use cookies to track you across other websites for any purpose beyond standard Google Analytics/AdSense functionality.

Your choices

You can change your cookie choices at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site, which will show the consent banner again. Most browsers also let you block cookies entirely in their settings, though this may affect how some third-party embedded content behaves.

Data we don't collect

We don't collect your name, email address, financial account details, or the actual figures you enter into any calculator (home price, salary, rent amount, dates, and so on) — those calculations happen locally in your browser and are never transmitted to us.

Third parties

The only third-party services used are Google Analytics and Google AdSense, both gated behind the consent banner described above. We don't sell or share data with any other third party.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change accordingly. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
